learn about the equipment that we carry.

The scheme has two vehicles based at RAF Honington and Marham.  The scheme is currently upgrading the vehicle fleet to the Honda CR-V Rapid Response Vehicle as supplied to the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust althought the Honington vehicle is currently a fleet services Vauxhall Vectra.

The Marham car, purchased in May 2006, was provided by generous donations by the people of West Norfolk in conjunction with the Mayor of Kings Lynn Charity.see our Supporters

Both vehicles are fitted with SatNav systems linked to the VHF radio for auto-completion of incident location details.  Handheld VHF radios were purchased for crew safety when away from the vehicle and Automatic Vehicle Location System (AVLS) lets the Control Centre know where we are at all times.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including fluorescent jackets, helmets & safety glasses are provided by the Ambulance Service as are all consumable items such as dressings and Oxygen.

A large proportion of our expensive equipment is donated or fundraising performed by local supporters or by the Responders in between a busy schedule of shifts as wells the day job...

The Responder kit bag is adequately stocked for a variety of incidents. The Emergency Responder grab-bag is a Rescue-MedicalTM backpack suitable for carrying all items of resuscitation equipment for a small multi-casualty incident.

You can view the bag in detail and view handouts of the equipment here.
